Bio
Claire Sloan came into fashion with a question about perception: how color and shape influence how people read one another, and how clothing portrays the person wearing it. Since entering NC State’s Fashion Development and Product Management program, her appreciation for design has grown into a passion for many aspects of the fashion industry. Through exposure to textiles, computer-aided design, and construction, Claire has developed a passion for fashion design and all it encompasses.
Collection Concept
DOWN TO EARTH reflects an unconventional lifestyle that turns away from materialism and towards a connection between the earth and oneself. It’s about grounding in the elements of life that make us feel fulfilled and are often overlooked. It’s about presence, living, and dreaming. It’s rooted yet liberating, and restorative without imposing constraints.
