Bethany Thai is a senior at NC State majoring in Fashion & Textile Management with a concentration in Fashion Development and Product Management. Her journey through Wilson College of Textiles has been fueled by an unwavering passion for creativity and innovation. From her first class on centennial campus, she has felt a deep connection to the power of textiles and fashion. She thrives on the endless possibilities of imagination, constantly experimenting with styles and techniques to bring her visions to life. Throughout her college experience, she has not only developed her technical skills but has also experienced life in vibrant ways that have shaped her perspective on the world. As she explored her identity through her designs, she gained clarity about her artistic voice and vision. With graduation on the horizon, Bethany is excited to embrace new opportunities in the fashion industry, driven by a renewed sense of purpose and creativity.

Collection Concept

The title of the collection is AUSPICIOUS. Drawing its name from the word that embodies good fortune, positivity and the promise for favorable outcomes, this collection aims to encapsulate the celebration of traditions and cultures that inspire joy and prosperity. The designer’s vision for this collection was to honor and celebrate their heritage by interlocking cultural elements into each piece. Silhouettes range from flowing profiles that evoke elegance to structured pieces that exude confidence. With varying textures and colors, each garment tells a story that embodies the promise of a promising success.
